Yogasanas

Yoga Asanas deals with the execution of asanas which are to be performed at the competitor’s maximum of flexibility, balance, alignment, and resistance. It evaluates the perfect execution of asana, the perfect alignment, and the range of flexibility, strength, balance, and resistance. It also evaluates the perfect execution of Pranayama (control of energy), and appropriate breathing techniques, or Swara Yoga. Other factors that are evaluated include achievement of Pratihara (introspection), Dharma (concentration), and if possible the achievement of Dhyana (meditation). Spiritually, the competitor should not be nervous or altered; rather he should feel relaxed, harmonious, content, and happy, which causes him to gain more points in the competition.

Malaysian Yoga Sports Association & Asian Yoga Federation

For Malaysian Yoga Sports Association and Asian Yoga Federation championships, use the following syllabus:

Age 8-11:

Age 8 – 11, Boys and Girls championships. Choose SEVEN out of the ten asanas shown below, to perform to perfection at the championship.

Age 11-14:

Age 11 – 14, Boys and Girls championships. Choose SEVEN out of the ten asanas shown below, to perform to perfection at the championship.

 

Age 14-17:

Age 14 – 17, Boys and Girls championships. Choose SEVEN out of the ten asanas shown below, to perform to perfection at the championship.

 

Age 17-21:

Age 17-21, Mens and Womens championships. Choose SEVEN out of the ten asanas shown below, to perform to perfection at the championship.

 

Age 21-25:

Age 21-25, Mens and Womens championships. Choose SEVEN out of the ten asanas shown below, to perform to perfection at the championship.

 

Age 25-35 Men:

Age 25-35, Mens championship. Choose SEVEN out of the ten asanas shown below, to perform to perfection at the championship.

 

Age 25-35 Women:

Age 25-35, Womens championship. Choose SEVEN out of the ten asanas shown below, to perform to perfection at the championship.

 

Professional:

Professional, Mens and Womens championships. Choose SEVEN out of the ten asanas shown below, to perform to perfection at the championship.

 

Age Above 35:

Age Above 35, Mens and Womens championships. Choose SEVEN out of the ten asanas shown below, to perform to perfection at the championship.
